Like many Chateaux in Bordeaux, Preurie started life as a home for Benedictine Monks where their wine was offered as part of dinner for guests as well as beingserved during ceremonies (much like the infamous Dom Perignon). Also like many other estates, the French Revolution brought enormous changes in ownership and operation.
